It is important to remember when booking your reservation, that you will have 2 locations that you will need to drive to for snowmobiling. You will first come to our shop / office in Heber City (2210 S Highway 40 Unit A Heber City, Utah 84032) to check in and complete paperwork , get fitted with helmets and gear, and go over our interactive map. This process takes about 1 hour to complete. You will then drive to our private trail head where you will park your car, receive an orientation and safety briefing and start your ride. Because of this we DO NOT recommend Uber or Lyft type services. Having your own car or rental car is the best option. If you do plan on using Uber or Lyft type services, please understand that often, they are not willing to wait for you at the office to finish your check in and then drive up to the trail head. Also, gettting a return ride can be challenging due to the remote location. We do have limited transportation from our office up to the private trail head for those who do end up ubering to our office. The cost is $30 per person with a minimum of $90. It is important that if you choose to use our transportation option, that you call and discuss availability with us prior to arriving for your reservation.

PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR THE TOUR

Why Choose Uinta Recreation?
We are a 5 star rental and tour company with over 18 years perfecting our craft! We are 5 star rated on Google and Tripadvisor and our emphasis on our guests experience is paramount. A few things that sets us apart from some of our competitors.
1. Your safety is paramount to anything else! We provide every group a GPS messaging device, that allows them to communicate outside of cell service (which is common in the mountains). So no matter where on the mountain you are, we can communicate, know your location and assist if you get stuck or have a mechanical. And if the worst case happens and somebody gets hurt, there is an SOS feature that allows you to send your location and emergency info to 911. These devices are rarely used, but great to have if something goes wrong. We are the only outfitter we know of that provides these for their guests. All of our primary guides are wilderness first responder certified and have avalanche training and go out prepared with medical kits, safety and survival gear, the experience, skills and most importantly the good judgement to help avoid needing it. If you are going guided, your guide will have the GPS messaging device. If going self guided, you will be issued one to use.
2. Private trail head. All our rentals and guided tours run out of our private trail head and access hundreds of thousand of acres of Uinta National Forest public lands. These public lands boast hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails and plenty of backcountry to explore. We are permitted with the Forest Service to operate and guide here. The trail head is at 8000′ elevation and accesses trails and mountains up to 11,000′. The views and terrain is stunning! So much better than a private ranch in the Park City Area!
3. Customized interactive maps! For our self guided renters, we have a custom google maps overlay that you will download onto your phone. It has the trails marked and color coordinated as well as location of the private trail head and other info. You then use the GPS on your phone to navigate and see exactly where you are at on the trail system. This system works amazing and we rarely have guests get turned around out there. We are the only outfitter that does this! So throw away that paper map and join us! For those choosing to go guided, your guide will take care of all your navigational needs!
4. Unparalleled equipment! Some companies only run trail machines and some run a little of both, and most run them into the ground, but we run a great selection AND keep them up to date by purchasing new machines each year and keeping a constant rotation of newer equipment. All of our snowmobiles are electric start and fuel injected and we only run what we know to be the best, most reliable snowmobiles.
5. Knowledgable staff. Uinta Recreation is owned and ran by Outdoor Recreation Professionals! Individuals who have spent their lifetime working in outdoor winter recreation and have years of avalanche training, winter survival skills, Wilderness first responder certifications and decades of hands on experience in the backcountry! Whether you are going out self guided or with a guide, we will take the needed steps to guide you through an amazing experience!
6. Because of our stellar reputation and long term experience in providing a world class snowmobiling experience, we have been chosen by BRP (Ski Doo snowmobiles manufacturer) to partner in their Uncharted Society guide and outfitter program. As such we are a proud partner of the Uncharted Society, BRP’s experience partnership program. Featuring 200+ of the top operators in the industry and 400+ unique experiences around the world, the Uncharted Society is your #1 source for transformative powersports experiences. #adventureunlocked
