Uinta Recreation runs Heber Valley’s largest selection of Can-Am UTVs and side-by-sides, with many models available to choose from – two-seat sport machines to a six-passenger family cruiser. You can ride directly from our private trailhead five minutes from the shop, or tow the machine to any trail system you choose. We purchase new equipment every season — every machine you rent is well-maintained, inspected before it goes out, and built for the terrain around Heber City.

Seats up to two people. Dynamic power steering, plenty of power for the full trail system, excellent handling, and a comfortable ride. The entry-level two-seater is a strong choice for couples or pairs who want a smooth, manageable experience.

Seats up to two people. The upgraded XT model has higher-travel suspension than the DPS. Same reliable horsepower with a noticeably more capable ride on rougher terrain.

Seats up to two people. All the suspension advantages of the XT 700 with nearly double the horsepower. A great all-around machine for riders who want more performance on climbs and technical sections. Must be 25 or older to operate.

Seats up to two people. High-performance suspension, 100 HP, and incredible ride quality.

Seats up to four people. High-performance suspension, 100 HP, and the room to bring a small group. This has been our most popular machine for years. Must be 25 or older to operate.

Seats up to six people. Built for families and larger groups. Not as sporty as the machines above, but excellent ride quality and fully capable on all the area trails.
All time slots require you to arrive at our office 1 hour prior to the ride time to allow sufficient time to complete paperwork, fit helmets and goggles, drive to the trailhead, and receive an orientation and safety briefing before your ride starts.

The majority of our rentals ride directly from our private trailhead in the Charleston and Midway area, five minutes from the shop. After checking in at our office, you drive out, pick up your machine at the trailhead, and then access the Wasatch Mountain State Park trail system. No trailer required for standard rentals — it keeps the process simple, just rent and ride.
If you want to tow the machine to a different trail system, multi-day rentals and off-site towing are available. We can provide a trailer at no additional charge. Call ahead to arrange these options, as they are not available through the standard online booking flow.
Every rental includes helmets for all riders and passengers. Goggle rentals are available at the shop. Damage agreement and insurance coverage is required at $50 per machine per day, with a $4,500 damage deductible. Please note that the Defender model has a damage deductible of $7,500. This covers accidental damage — it does not cover reckless behavior, so read the rental agreement carefully. Fuel is not included in the rental price. A major credit card with at least $2,500 available credit is required, and a $2,500 authorization hold is placed for each reservation.
Two things must be completed before you show up, or your ride time will be reduced. First, all operators in Utah are required by state law to complete the Utah OHV Education Course. This is not optional — it is a legal requirement to operate an off-highway vehicle in Utah. Second, all adults must complete an online liability waiver. A registration link is emailed after booking in a separate email from your confirmation. Every adult in your group must sign their own waiver, and minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Do not wait until the day of your rental to complete these.
Age requirements: 25 or older to rent a 1000cc machine; 21 or older to rent a 700cc machine; 18 or older to drive with a valid driver’s license. No minimum age for passengers. Young children must be secured in a properly fitted car seat or booster that you provide.
Most rides use the Wasatch Mountain State Park trail system. The area includes stops at Cascade Springs, Snake Creek Canyon with views of Mount Timpanogos, and Soldier Hollow — the 2002 Winter Olympic cross-country venue. Deer Creek Reservoir and Jordanelle Reservoir are minutes away. The terrain ranges from wide open valley runs to canyon routes with real elevation change, depending on how much ground you want to cover.
Book at uintarecreation.com or call 801-613-0288. We are at 2210 S Highway 40, Heber City — 25 minutes from Park City, 30 minutes from Provo, 45 minutes from Salt Lake City, and one hour from Ogden.
No prior experience is required. Our staff will go over machine operation before you leave the lot. If you are uncertain about which model fits your skill level, call us, and we will help you choose.
Yes. It is required by Utah state law for all operators of off-highway vehicles. Complete it before you arrive — if you have not finished it by the time you check in, it will reduce your allotted ride time, and no extensions are given.
Yes. Multi-day rentals and off-site towing options are available, and we can provide a trailer at no additional charge. These options need to be arranged by phone in advance — call 801-613-0288.
The $ 50-per-day damage agreement limits your liability to a $4,500 deductible for all machines except the Defender Max Limited Cab HD11, which has a $ 7,500 deductible for damage to the rented machines. It does not cover reckless behavior or personal injury to the renter.
