Looking for family-friendly snowmobile tours in the Park City area? Uinta Recreation has you covered! We offer exciting snowmobile tours designed for riders of all ages and experience levels. Our guided adventures take you on Utah’s best snowmobiling trails within the Wasatch National Forest, an area well-known for its stunning mountain views, powder-white snow, and beautiful alpine trees, creating the perfect setting for a day of family adventure. If you’re snowmobiling with small children (who are too young to ride safely on the back of a snowmobile), we have an excellent option for you! Our Snow Coach Passenger Sled! This sled can be added to your snowmobile rental and is a cozy, safe way for little ones to join in the fun.
What is the Snow Coach Passenger Sled?
While most children ages 8 and up can safely ride on the back of our snowmobiles with an adult, younger children cannot. Don’t worry, that doesn’t mean your little ones can’t experience the thrill of snowmobiling! With our Snow Coach Passenger Sled, kids ages 4-8 get to ride along with you for the journey.
Features:
- Seating: The snow coach passenger sled holds up to 2 people, including children ages 4+ and smaller adults. Please note that pricing is per person.
- Compatibility: The snowcoach passenger sled must be paired with the Ski-Doo Expedition 600 EFI. This snowmobile has enough power and stability to pull a passenger sled safely on our trails.
- Comfort: The snow coach features an enclosed cabin to help insulate passengers from wind, snow, and cold. Plus, padded seats and secure harnesses help keep your young riders comfortable.
At Uinta Recreation, kids deserve to have just as much fun as the grown-ups! That’s why we’re proud to offer our snow coach add-on, allowing families to experience Utah’s gorgeous mountain terrain without compromise.
Pros and Cons of the Snow Coach Passenger Sled
Are you unsure if the Snow Coach passenger sled is right for your snowmobiling tour in Park City, Utah? Here are some of the pros and cons to help you decide.
Pros
- Perfect for Families with Younger Children: Since kids under 8 can’t ride safely on the back of a snowmobile, a passenger sled is the best option! It’s comfortable, and kids have a better snowmobiling experience in the warm, enclosed cabin. Plus, parents can relax and have fun, knowing their little ones are secure.
- Protection from the Elements: Most young children aren’t very comfortable in cold winds and wet snow. Renting a passenger sled keeps them warm, dry, and happy throughout the guided tour.
- Smooth Ride: Towed by the stable Expedition 600, the snow coach offers a soft, comfortable ride for passengers. The sled features gas-shock suspension to absorb bumps and a limited-rotation hitch that allows the sled to pivot and glide with ease.
- Allows the Whole Family to Have Fun: The best part of our snow coach passenger sled is that it lets even the youngest family members enjoy the whole snowmobiling experience! The sled makes snowmobiling more accessible and fun for everyone.
Cons
- Trail Use Only: The passenger sled is not suitable for deep snow or backcountry snowmobile tours. However, it rides beautifully on our many beginner-friendly snowmobile trails near Heber City, UT.
- Must Rent Expedition 600 EFI: Because of the sled’s safety and towing specifications, it can only be attached to our Ski-Doo Expedition 600 EFI. This snowmobile is great for trail riding and comfortably fits two people.
