UTAH CORPORATE TEAM-BUILDING UTV TOURS

REAL TERRAIN, REAL TEAMWORK, HEBER VALLEY

Corporate team-building activities tend to fall into two categories: those people tolerate and those they actually talk about afterward. A guided UTV tour through the Wasatch Mountain backcountry lands in the second category. We are based in Heber City at 2210 S Highway 40, Heber City — 25 minutes from Park City, 45 minutes from Salt Lake City, and 30 minutes from Provo – and we have been running guided side-by-side tours for corporate groups since 2007. The experience requires no prior skill, comfortably accommodates large groups, and puts everyone in the same environment doing the same thing, which is harder to find in a corporate activity than most planners expect.

If your company is headed to Park City or Salt Lake City for a retreat, offsite, or conference, a half-day tour slots cleanly into the schedule without disrupting the rest of the agenda.

Why Corporate Groups Choose Guided Tours

Guided tours are the right format for corporate events for the same reason they work for any large, mixed-experience group structure. Your guide leads from the front, manages the group’s pace, handles every logistical decision on the trail, and keeps the experience moving smoothly regardless of who in the group has ridden before and who has not. Nobody has to navigate. Nobody has to manage. The people who organized the event get to participate rather than babysit it.

Our guided side-by-side tours depart directly from our Heber City headquarters and run three hours through the Wasatch Mountain State Park trail system. A minimum of 2 vehicles is required, and most corporate groups bring enough people to fill several machines. Average corporate group sizes tend to run between eight and twelve people, which we handle regularly. Larger groups are welcome — call us, and we will configure the vehicle count to match your headcount.

For smaller corporate teams or executive groups who prefer to set their own pace, self-guided UTV tours are also available with a full orientation, QR code trail map, and Garmin GPS included.

The Terrain and the Experience

Tours run through Dutch Hollow and Snake Creek Canyon, the core routes of the Wasatch Mountain State Park trail system. Dutch Hollow is a 12-mile loop with around 1,200 feet of elevation gain — enough terrain that the group feels like they covered real ground, not so much that it’s inaccessible to anyone. Snake Creek Canyon winds through historic mining routes, with continuous views of Mount Timpanogos that shift with every mile. Stops at Cascade Springs or viewpoints above the Jordanelle Reservoir can be worked into the route depending on timing.

The guide adjusts the pace and route to the group. If your team is competitive and wants to push the terrain, the guide accommodates that. If you have executives who want a more relaxed pace with time to take in the scenery, that works too. The experience is customizable in ways that most group activities are not.

The Fleet

We purchase new Can-Am machines every season. Corporate groups most commonly use a combination of the four-seat Maverick Sport Max 1000R (100 HP) and the six-passenger Defender Max HD7, which keeps larger teams together across fewer vehicles. Two-seat options — the Commander DPS 700, Commander XT 700, and Commander XT 1000R — are available for pairs or individuals who prefer their own machine. All operators must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license. Operators of 1000cc machines must be 25 or older.

Planning and Logistics

Most corporate groups booking with us are traveling from out of state — companies whose teams are convening in Park City or Salt Lake City for a broader company event. Heber City is a 25-minute drive from Park City and a 45-minute drive from Salt Lake City, making it a realistic half-day pull from either hub.

We strongly recommend a pre-call before booking any corporate group. Tell us your headcount, your preferred timing, whether you are working around a broader schedule, and whether you want guided or self-guided. We will configure the right vehicle mix and make sure the logistics are set up properly before you commit to a date.

Book early — corporate events with fixed itineraries have almost no flexibility to reschedule. We recommend reaching out at least three months in advance for summer dates. Groups booking during our slower months — April, May, October, or November — should ask about early booking and group discounts. Visit our specials page for current offers, or just ask when you call.

Before the tour, all operators must complete the Utah OHV Education Course, which is required by Utah state law for anyone operating an off-highway vehicle. Online waivers are required for all participants and are sent by email after booking. A $2,500 credit card authorization is required per reservation, and a $50 per machine per day damage agreement is required.
